Great article! Thank you.

And thanks for the invite to join but I'm homeless and working on resolving that. I don't have a dime to spare. When I do, it sounds great and like fun.

It's funny that this is your topic today since that's been on my mind: the way so many healers and mentors can so easily become a loop that keeps you stuck in the same mind set. Journaling can be like that. So I've decided to turn journaling into art doodling just for fun. To hell with all this other crap.

Thanks for the accidental confirmation! lol

Thank you so much. Please don’t give the membership another thought right now. Put every ounce of your energy and every dime toward getting yourself safely housed. I’m glad you’re here, whether you ever become a paid member or not. I’m holding the vision of solid ground beneath your feet very soon.

The listening/waiting phase is hard, but I'm trusting it this time. (And thanks for the reminder!)

I had series of powerful dreams that spoke of transformation, authenticity and passion for life. Bring it on! Woo hoo! Let's get this party started! I'm ready to rock and roll!!! (crickets...silence) Helloooooo! Is anybody out there?!?!?! Did I miss the bus to the future??? After an inner tantrum and a rant to the Universe and its quirky ways, I got back on the trust-track. So, it's time for business as usual with my antenna UP, ears and eyes open but no demands on my part. It's DAMN HARD but I'm not running the whole show.

I was just at the “grocery store” today. I got there in my “red” car so . . . . kidding but it is the truth. The store was super busy and only 2 cashiers were on so I decided to just relax and wait. I’ve always told myself that if the wait and my anxiety is too strong that I can leave, just leave.

But today at my age I don’t feel the same and I have permission to just “be”.

The others in the store decided to “help” me. I guess I looked detached and might not move at a proper rate. One woman counted my items and determined that I could go to the quick check aisle. I said that I didn’t want to and stayed put. Every time I’m in a store that is crowded there is always someone that has to “help” me. Last time a woman actually told me the order in which I would be served. And properly told every new person that came in where their place was “in line”.

I think it’s funny now. I just don’t need the anxiety. I don’t need the “help”. I can wait and I love it. How exhausting it must be to have to organize the whole world. I just don’t fit into chaotic shopping anymore.

So I understand where you are at with stores.

I can’t pick a red car because I have one but I’ll pick green because . . . well just because. I’d love an old mustang.

If an old green mustang drives by I ‘ll eat my bra or throw it out the window or burn it like Jane Fonda. She was in on that, right? Or join you all. I will now put my typing finger to rest.

Hi Monica, I'm just catching up and read this today.. At last week's group session I shared that I had just spent a few days in my original home town catching up with a few folks that I've known since kindergarten.... what a strange thing to visit this small prairie town and try to connect my 45 yr old childhood memories with the current scenes - there was so much catching up to do!

I've spent some days reflecting on, and digesting the whole experience..

Yesterday was day 1 of my region's annual flavour trail and for the first time I selected some sites and set out. 1st up - an orchard, which now produces dark chocolate (using cacao sourced directly from a single farm in Ecuador, that they have visited) using their own huge selection of fruit. Then a farmer's market where I bumped into two neighbors and had some lovely conversations. Then the Thai cooking school for some delicious samples, where I ran into one of my former art students and her mum and grandmother. Another lovely conversation...then we headed to the next stop together, my last for the day, a distillery. and well, yup, I bought some whiskey and gave mum and dad a bottle too when I stopped by for a visit in the afternoon.

When i got home I spent 3 hrs mucking about with oil paints - something haven't done that for years.

This week I've slowly came to the realization that that my goal of being a 'legitimate artist', of creating a whole new body of work each year for my annual exhibition, (some of which might hopefully sell, to pay for the costs) was feeling like a chore, rather than a catalyst.

I've always been focused on the destination, and being productive,.. Epiphany moment, the journey really is the point!

So i guess this is a long winded way of saying I think I'm finally getting Monica's message... and listening to my soul - not a moment too soon! Thank you Monica and the Breakthrough Group.

Monica I always hated going to the grocery store. Always. Then my dear male friend told me he always uses Instacart and after planning my food, down to the ripeness of my avocados, that's the only way I shop. The shopper brings my food to the door and into my kitchen, while I go on with my life. You decide if they did a good job and maybe leave a tip,or not. Meanwhile my life goes on, and never stops...my art, my reading, my quiet time feeding the birds outside. Gina...I think I deserve this.

Oh I’ve been using Door Dash and Instacart for a few years. The difference is, though I live in a high-rise, which has a gated front door. I have to get dressed to go downstairs and accept the delivery and take a little cart with me to put it on the elevator and bring it back upstairs for me it’s the inconvenience that I have to get dressed just to go downstairs for that petty. I know I’ll probably get it done tomorrow. Thanks for the tip. I’m glad it worked so well for you.
