I am going to have to give this a lot more thought… It’s a great question. What came up for me after a few minutes of reflection is that I feel duped by my own naïveté and optimism in our leaders, our government, our culture, etc. In the last two years, the rose colored glasses have come off and I see things much more accurately as they really are.

I’m not quite sure how to describe what the duping was, but that’s what came up in response to your question.

I get how you feel duped. I’ve felt the same way.

The truth is, we outgrew the story we were given. What we’re feeling isn’t naïveté, it’s the shock of seeing more clearly than we were ever asked to see before.

It helps me to remember the real shift isn’t out there, it’s internal… learning to trust my own read on things instead of the systems we were taught to trust.

That’s not a loss. That’s power, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.

duped into believing I could get it all done. At some point, I realized I couldn’t. No one can get it all done. I hate to pick on my mom because she worked so hard to make it seem like she could get it all done. She couldn’t. No one can.

. But did
