The Daily RE-Wire

I dropped my pen and learned something cool.

Grab a pen. I'm going to show you something really cool. It only takes one second.

ALLOWING

There was romance in the air last fall.

Not the kind with a guy. I am done with that particular adventure.

This romance was with hundreds of women who suddenly showed up and started reading my words. One by one. Then ten by ten.

I did not chase them. I did not run ads or make big plans or hustle for their attention.

I just wrote. I followed what felt alive. I let the words come through me.

And they came. The women, I mean. They just kept coming.

All fall. All the way through Christmas.

It felt like magic. It felt like proof of something I had always suspected but never quite trusted:

When you stop grabbing, good things land on you.

* * *

Then winter showed up.

Not a polite winter. A serious one. Six weeks of snow piled up outside my window here in Lynchburg. The roads disappeared. The world got very small and very quiet.

I went full hermit.

And somewhere in all that quiet, I started to doubt. So I changed things.
