Those loud, over bearing "shoulds, woulds, coulds" have been receding these last several years since retirement happened. Once I realized several had hidden under the carpet, I pulled that rug out from over the top of them, and used an old fashioned rug beater on it in bright sunshine with a great deal of satisfaction. The vaccuum cleaner was repeatedly shoved into all the cracks and crevices of the floor space in case any remained hidden. I now understand punching bag relief rather than being one!
Am I 100% free? No, I'm a recovering Shoulawouldacoulda, everything to everybody but myself, sociatal expectations tattooed into my self, senior woman like yourself. We're heading the same direction. Our diverse paths have crossed thanks to social media. Nice to have met you on the journey we're experiencing.
