It’s Your Turn Now
Saturday Morning Confusion be gone!
I remember the first time I heard the song Saturday Morning Confusion. I was sitting in my car, parked in my parents' driveway, groceries in the backseat, just… listening. It wasn’t even a particularly good song, but something about it resonated.
For a few minutes, I sat there, letting the music fill the car, letting myself be—just me, no obligations, no expectations.
And then? Reality came knocking.
My mother was getting agitated, wondering why I hadn’t already jumped out, grabbed the bags, and rushed into the kitchen. There was always something that needed to be done, always someone waiting for me to move, to tend, to take care of things.
And that’s how it was, wasn’t it?
We were raised to believe that our purpose was to make life better for those we loved.
We were the caretakers. The peacekeepers. The ones who kept everything running, who anticipated needs before anyone had to ask. We didn’t sit and listen to songs in the car—we had groceries to carry, meals to cook, lives to support.
No one ever asked, “But what about your soul? What about your mind? What about your dreams?”
Because dreams? Well, they were tucked away. Pushed aside. Never quite fitting into the life that needed us elsewhere.
But now? Now, here we are.
The kids are grown, often with families of their own, living their own lives. The people who once needed us in that all-consuming way… don’t anymore.
And suddenly, we are left with something we never truly had before: Time.
Not the borrowed moments, not the scraps left over after everyone else was taken care of. Real, luxurious, wide-open time.
And this is big—because time, coupled with change, creates freedom.
The world isn’t what it was when we were growing up. Women are freer than ever before to acknowledge their own wants, to claim space, to reclaim their dreams.
And now, you get to ask yourself the question no one ever asked you:
What about me?
What about that girl who used to stare out her bedroom window, dreaming of all the things she’d do someday?
What about the woman who once wanted more, but told herself it wasn’t the right time?
What about the dreams you quietly kept alive, the ones that never included cleaning up behind others?
That time? That someday? It’s now.
It’s not too late. It was never too late.
And if no one has ever told you that before, let me be the first: It’s your turn now.
And you don’t have to do it alone. 💫

Always look forward to your writings. This one especially hit home. This time around, I have the blessed opportunity to explore with, inspire, and support the dreams of one little girl. XO
In all that time we were creating roots, deep strong roots like the giving tree I wrote about today! Now we are strong, now we are ready, now we are all set to take on the world! And it’s going to be a blast! Still don’t know how! But just know! And I can’t wait to see it all unfold!
