It really did!

This is a beautiful story. For me it was my Dad. He was always busy helping others or tinkering with a car, feeding his cows, building something in his workshop. When you wake up you get up and start moving. I feel the same way. Can’t just lay in bed. I like being busy and tired at the end of the day. My Mom was such a lady. Both had a wonderful outlook on life. I’m a perfect combination of both of them but I take after my Dad more.

Thanks for writing your memories. Brought a smile to my face thinking about my own parents this morning😊

Are you living the same way now? I want to be just like your dad thank you for the inspiration. I'm 63 and recently had the flu and found myself questioning my strength my recovery. In the past I would have just assumed it was a flu and I would be better almost immediately and not think twice. As I age I think twice and you just reminded me to stop that silliness.

Deborah, yes! At 71, I am absolutely living the way my daddy did. I wake up every morning excited about what I might create, discover, or experience. I have dreams, plans, and more things I want to do than I have hours in the day! Daddy taught me that getting older doesn’t mean we have to start expecting less from life. And I’ve taken that lesson to heart. Our bodies may occasionally remind us of our age, but that doesn’t mean we have to let age dictate how we live. I’m so glad his story spoke to you. ❤️

Love your dad’s hat hanging on the wall. It’s love art. 💚🙏🏻
