In my early twenties, I too was married and broken open by a film. Terminator Two, oddly enough. Mine is a coming out story, initiated by Linda Hamilton and all her muscles. I didn't have children or church, or a reason to sit on what I felt stirring within; met a woman, fell in love, started a very unconventional life. I call myself a self help junkie. I read my first personal development book at 20. By Dr Leo Buscaglia, titled Love. I also closed the shutters and door and spent a year understanding who I am. Now at 62, I have let those self help books go. I enjoy reading different genres, and work on staying present.
I am so very glad to know this. thank you. and please do stick around. While my primairy focus is indeed women ovr 60, I often wish there had been a version of me early in my adult years.
1978 I was 23yrs old and drove my Fiat from Wisconsin to Colorado and am still here. The 2 movies I saw in Colorado that year were “Looking for Mr GoodBar” and seeing the Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight. I met my husband in a bar in 1979 and it’s been a long strange journey for sure.
👏 Yea, those shoulds, woulds, and coulds deserve to be permanently ostracized!
Life: one day at a time; often one moment at a time. As the old children's joke goes, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." And we stumble upon many elephants in our rooms. 🐘 as a literary example only. None were injured writing this post. 🤭

What an incredible story! It’s rare for someone to have experienced and achieved so much, especially so early in life. Meeting countless famous people is impressive on its own, but adding roles like music producer, talent manager, published music magazine writer, and owner of a small online newspaper takes it to another level. It’s hard to imagine anyone topping that, and reading about it is truly awe-inspiring. My own bio feels modest in comparison.
