Bravo to your mom! Mine was similar. Although she partnered with Dad to build the family business. I am so glad you had the presence of mind and spirit to notice the aspects of her that serve you now. What is your dream?
Thank you. I never will sell this one. It hangs in my dining room. If there is one thing I have figured out or learned in my 69 years is that I do NOT have to choose. Instead I choose to follow my own energy. I trust that bc I make it a habit to tend to my energy first and foremost, as literally everything I dream of flows from that. As far as fitting in, I don't know a single artist that does! We are all by our very own imputeus to create art uniquely different. Our drum just follows a different rhythm. It offers the wonderful opportunity for solitude- which can be your best friend. The only thing I suggest you carve out is time sitting with yourself for no other reason. No expectation. I find that sitting and listening and sort of waving the thoughts by is a wonderful practice to bring out what needs attention from me. FYI. I have stopped painting as a career. I did that for 20 plus years. My passion is now =right here on Substack- Will I paint again. Sure but this time for me, not the market place.
