Years ago, I discovered the power of speaking my heart's desires aloud. There's something about setting the energy of the yearning out into the world.
I went to hear an Irish band play at a local pub along with some girlfriends. I had never seen a Bodhran before -- that's an Irish frame drum -- and I was mesmerized. I blurted out, "I'm going to play one of those drums some day!" Whoa....where did THAT come from? But lo and behold, 8 years later I was married to a musician and we played in a popular Celtic band for 12 years!

I once sat before many paths. A crossroads. Taking a step left, dipping a toe in and then choosing right.
What I failed to realize is that it was never path A or B or C… the path was mine and I get to do all of the things I want to do if I choose.
Susan Boyle’s I dreamed a dream- came on the radio the other day and I was examining this exact thing. I thought about her story and how it’s never too late to go after what we want. To dream the “impossible” dream.
