The Vibration Behind the Canvas
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about energy — not the kind that powers our homes, but the kind that moves through us.
The emotional vibration that radiates off of everything we touch, create, and share with the world.
Because no matter what’s happening in this country — the noise, the fear, the endless streams of blame and outrage — people are still craving beauty, peace, and connection. They’re desperate for something that feels honest. And that, I think, is where artists come in.
I’ve come to believe that my art plays a quiet role in that social climate. Not because of politics or headlines — but because of vibration.
When I paint, I can feel when I’m aligned and when I’m not. When I’m painting from curiosity, joy, and love, the piece hums. It draws people in. They might not even know why — but they feel it.
And I know it’s true because they tell me. They write to me. They buy a piece and say, “I needed this energy in my home.” They don’t say “I liked the brushwork.” They say “this painting makes me feel calm.” That’s the vibration I’m talking about.
It’s not about talent or trend or technical skill — it’s about resonance.
When your vibration is steady and honest, people find you. They connect to the frequency of your work, even if they don’t understand it.
And I’ve learned that this principle holds even when the world feels divided, angry, or afraid. Especially then.
So to my fellow artists — don’t give up.
Don’t get tangled in who sold what or how someone else’s post performed. Don’t let the noise flatten your signal.
Stay in your own frequency.
Paint what restores you. Write what steadies you.
Let your vibration speak for you.
Because art made in truth always finds its people — sometimes quietly, sometimes suddenly, but always inevitably.
The world doesn’t just need your art.
It needs the energy behind it.
