The Women Who Did It — Meet Susan
A retired nurse. Purple streaks. Real momentum.
Meet Susan Klein
Let me introduce you to a woman who is not talking about change.
She’s doing it.
Susan shows up. Every workshop. Every Breakthrough prompt. Every Coherence practice. She doesn’t skim the surface. She works the questions.
And recently, she sent me this photo.
Purple highlights in her hair.
Not to look younger.
Not to impress anyone.
But as an anchor.
A visible reminder that she is building momentum and she is not going back.
Susan is a retired nurse practitioner. Grounded. Intelligent. Steady. She spent decades caring for others. Now she’s creating.
She’s writing children’s books.
She’s illustrating them herself.
She’s writing poetry that refuses to stay quiet.
What I love most about Susan is not just her talent. It’s her integrity. She is kind and gentle — and quietly fierce when it comes to breaking old patterns.
We’ve never met in person. Yet I’m proud to call her my friend.
This space is for women who are actually rewiring their lives.
Susan is the first of many.
Welcome to what momentum looks like.
I Will Not Be Afraid
by Susan Klein
I will not be afraid
of your mind games
and limiting beliefs.
I’m not your trick pony
or your good little girl.
No, I will not shut up and sit down
or get in your box
with its pretty, polite wrappings.
I’ll tear off the wrappings
and split open the sides.
It’s time for you to get with the program
or get out of our way,
because your towers
(SpaceX, Blue Origin?)
will all fall down
when WE stop holding them up
like good little girls.
“Offended,” you say?
Well, yes indeed I am.
Offended at your dirty hands
on my body
and your puffed up swaggering.
Keep your hands off me.
I said I don’t want to play.
Take your dirty judges and juries,
your guns and threats.
I will not be afraid
to say NO
to this game.
Words That Stroke, Then Strike
by Susan Klein
Your gentle caress
with sweet words
woo and weave
an open, vulnerable spirit
to be crushed
by the violent addict.
Words that stroke, then strike.
Lulled into complacency
as a sacrificial lamb,
the blow is unexpected—
pure hatred from your hand.
In the aftermath,
the fog begins to clear,
replaced by angry pain.
Betrayal fuels new fear.
Words that stroke, then strike.
Unexpected pain
becomes the fuel
for the pendulum of change.
I stand and turn around.
I hold my ground and go.
I finally have the courage
to say a sacred NO!
