Who’s Really Building Your Dream?
That restless feeling you can’t quite shake?
That restless feeling you can’t quite shake? That low hum of unease that whispers, Is this all there is? Yeah, I know it too. And if you’re feeling it, you’re not alone.
When we set out to build something—whether it’s a business, a passion, or a whole damn empire—we start with joy. A vision. A spark.
But somewhere along the way, the experts creep in. The marketing gurus. The advice-givers. The ones who know best about how to scale, sell, optimize, and structure what we’re creating.
And if we’re not careful? We start building their version of success instead of our own.
I caught myself doing this today.
For a few hours, I ignored my own signals. I kept pushing through the overwhelm instead of listening to it. Instead of trusting myself. Instead of choosing alignment over obligation.
The result? A headache. My body’s first clue that I was slipping into old habits—ignoring my own spirit in favor of someone else’s roadmap.
The Weight of Growth
That one little note—just a few words—has now generated so much interest that I almost wanted to hide instead of step forward.
700+ likes. Hundreds of new eyes on my work. A flood of engagement. And for a moment, I felt the weight of it all, the responsibility of being seen.
It’s surprising to feel overwhelmed when, of course, I want my dream to be successful. I want to help others achieve their own. But this surge of response tells me something bigger:
There are more of us than I ever realized.
We are moms, daughters, grandmas, aunts, nieces—women who have arrived at a point in life where discomfort has become a nudge toward something MORE. That unease, that feeling of something isn’t quite right, isn’t a sign that we’re lost. It’s a sign that we’re ready.
Owning Our Right to Want More
We should never feel ashamed for wanting more. For dreaming bigger. For doing our gut-level best to achieve what calls us forward.
And I know, beyond a doubt, that the journey is worth it. Because in the midst of the overwhelm, there are diamonds.

I wanted more. And I got it.
And I’ll handle the overwhelm by nurturing myself, my spirit, and beginning again. I’ll cuddle my cat, Mr. Pablo, find a fun comedy to watch on TV and grab my color pencils to sketch. I’ll be fine.
Because there is far too much joy on this journey to turn back now. And far too much possibility ahead to not see how far we can go—together.
So tell me… are you giving yourself permission to want more? To RECLAIM what’s yours? To BUILD your vision? To TRUST that you’re not alone on this path?

Want more! I heard this twice today! Does that mean something?
