Gloria Cuevas shared her experience with a hurricane via email. I’m sharing here because I think others will enjoy her story:

Wow!! We've has similar experiences!. In 2017 Huracane Maria hit my island, Puerto Rico a a categroy 5!!

The hardest in over 100 yrs AND the hardest experience of my life....physically, mentally AND spiritually!!! Very difficult times.....as i know you know!!

Two years later 2018/19 we had a series of earthquakes that destroyed some of what was left standing in the SouthWest part of the (100x35 miles) Island., leaving more people without shelter for a long while...for many hop was also gone with the cement!!

Shortly after, Pandemic shows up worldwide.....

So... "what's next" one start to wonder.....

But "next" comes sometimes as a nice surprise.

Seven years later, 2026, i make the hard, but necessary decision, to end my 15 yr relationship with who i thought was "the love of my life" (Only to understand that I AM THAT!!)

AND then life begins .....

Just to prove that, in order to move on, one must let go of what Is holding one back.

What seemed like the biggest tragedy (second divorce), has turned out to give me the clarity and strength to follow my dream of being a FULL TIME ARTIST (which neither partner understood or supported).

I am designing AND living the life that i really want. Have been invited to show my work in a couple of galleries and have turned my tiny apt into a wonderful studio where i am able to spend hours just CREATING!! I also SING AND DANCE!!!

I share this to encourage other women to pursue what THEY REALLY want AND make posible...no matter the age!.

By the way... i will be 70 next June!!!❤️

Those oak trees were sacred. ❤️. And perhaps in their traumatic uprooting, they gave you a sign.

I’m glad you followed their lead!
