The T-Bone and the Truth
Your ego wants comfort. Your soul wants change.

I’m gonna tell you what I am going to do today.
It’s New Year’s Day.
I am not sipping green juice, nor eating black eye peas. I am not writing goals. I am not setting intentions.
I ordered a damn steak. Twenty ounces of sizzling, cast-iron-seared, bone-in nourishment. No potato. No garnish. No apology.
I am going to eat that chunk of beef likes it’s holy communion because for my body —- it is!
Because my body didn’t ask for spinach or salmon or another Pinterest-perfect cleanse.
It asked for meat.
And I listened.
That’s the difference between living under the rules and living by soul.
Twelve months ago, I wasn’t this woman.
I had a dream, but I was broke. I had vision, but no visibility. I had bills and fear and patterns—so many patterns.
But I also had this one thing:
A decision.
A decision to stop acting like someone else was in charge of my life.
A decision to stop blaming everyone else for my situation. Not my past. Not my family. Not my age. Not some imaginary board of directors evaluating what a woman my age should or shouldn’t do.
A decision to pull the weeds.
That’s what this post is about. Not steak. Not resolutions.
But the quiet moment where you stop betraying yourself for comfort.
It’s irresponsible to keep living a pattern once it’s been revealed.
Once it’s been called out. You don’t get to say, I can’t help it. That’s just your ego talking.
Your soul knows better.
And I know you do too.
This year, we’re not doing “new you” nonsense.
We’re doing rewiring.
Because somewhere along the way, we traded our dreams for shoulda, coulda, wouldas.
We became obedient. Practical. Predictable.
And the wild soul inside us went quiet.
But it’s not gone.
Your soul is just waiting for you to remember.
Now is your moment to rewire your thinking—
To reclaim the dreams you buried…
Or to discover new ones that fit who you’ve become.
The choice? Entirely yours.
But make no mistake—
It is a choice.
One subject at a time. One belief at a time. One root at a time.
We’re going into the dirt, baby.
Because you can’t grow a new life until you stop watering the weeds.
So tell me: What weed do you want to pull first?
I’m starting with the Mental Scripts—the stories we tell ourselves that keep us small. Over the next few days, I’ll be posting polls on Emotional Traps, Relationship Loops, and Money & Power Beliefs.
But let’s begin here. Pick all that apply:
Tell me where the weeds are. I’ll bring the gloves. You bring the truth.
Because this isn’t the year we perform strength.
This is the year we become it.
Who Said Change Had to Be Full Price?
For the next 7 days, I’m offering 25% off to anyone ready to stop drifting and start rewiring.
Whether you’re in the fog of “what now?”
Or standing at the edge of “is this all there is?”
This is your sign.
And if you’ve got a girlfriend, a sister, a mother, an aunt, a neighbor—or anyone, regardless of gender—who’s ready to break out of the outdated script of retirement and step into something deeper…
Forward this to them.
We’re reimagining what the last stage of life can look like.
We’re reigniting the fire.
We’re reinventing what it means to grow older.
No more sidelines. No more sleepwalking.
Just soul, spark, and a path forward.
