I get the "you're doing what?" All the time and the chorus is about to ramp up. I'm going dancing and working out with a personal trainer. Younger men hovering around. Why not?
From someone who's been keto and it's the best thing I've done for my body ever: Don't blame the keto. You have to ease into it if you've had a lot of carbs in your diet, which few people tell you. What you were experiencing was from the carbs. Berries and cream are perfectly legit on a keto/primal eating style. Enjoy.
Oh, I’m definitely not blaming keto—it’s more like I’ve been blaming myself on keto. I forgot the whole point was to feel good, not restricted. So I’m learning to listen to my body again, not some list. And yes to berries and cream—my new love language. Also, dancing with younger men? Please save me a spot on the floor.
Gotcha. What I've found that listening to my body means restricting things that were only habits and remembering what good really feels like. My energy is off the charts. Head is clear. Some things are just chemistry. Onward!
Most of my friends are over 60. And have been for at least the last 15 years (thus they now range to over 80). I'm thinking I'm drawn to these wonderful souls because my attitude about life aligns more with theirs than peers my own age. Thank you for your inspiring message. 💕
I absolutely love that—and it makes perfect sense. There’s something magnetic about being around women who’ve shed the performance, lived through the fire, and come out the other side full of wisdom and mischief.
It’s not about age—it’s about alignment. And the over-60 crew? They’ve got stories, clarity, and that beautiful “no more nonsense” energy.
Thank you for sharing that—and for seeing the heart in what I wrote
Mike! You always know how to cut straight to it—thank you, my friend. Sometimes the truth needs a little lipstick and a lot of fire. Appreciate you being here for it.
