Those are interesting thoughts, and I believe that you are right, but this part: "If AI creates abundance, humans need access to that abundance, or this becomes another story about wealth concentrating upward while everyone underneath scrambles harder" is crucial and I don't believe that, given the actual political situation both in the US and in the world, things will turn out fine. So the "scrambling harder" remains very dangerous.
I have expectations that we will see a BEGINING of things turning around after the Mid-term elections which will have bearning on the scrambling harder dynamic. I hold the hope that we see a congress peppered with FDR democrats- who have a fire in their belly for the working class. Unfortunatley there is no panecea and the turning around will take more time than any of us would like.
