Monica this is so true! I use a similar approach. I call it noticing my glimmers (Deb Dana who works with Dr. Steven Porges, coined this phrase). I take the time to notice my big and small moments of happiness and really absorb the feelings. Later, I can replay my glimmers in my mind and be happy all over again.

This has made a huge difference compared to making lists of things I'm grateful for.

Downloaded! I think it’s a great idea. Can I buy you a cup of coffee?

Actually you 'd be helping me by doing the week, then letting me know what about the pdf works and what doesn't work, what needs tweaking, etc.

I can already feel the shift in my approach in living with your idea, Monica. My first noticing is warming, relaxing, satisfying, loving, and connecting. And as you say I’m thankful I was brave enough to get a puppy in my late 70’s.

Your response brought tears of being seen. People have commented over the years about that presence in me. It comes from the care and love towards others I just was fortunate to have in me.

Isn’t it something how quickly everything softens when we soften. I’m so glad you felt that almost immediately. That warm, relaxed settling you’re describing — that’s your own presence returning to you. It changes the whole rhythm of a day. And yes, that little puppy was your soul nudging you toward more connection and more love. You were braver than you knew

Every month, I start a new paper journal that includes a gratitude page. I am 44 journals in, 44 gratitude pages completed. Inspired by your idea, I've changed the Gratitude page to a Joy Ledger since I am celebrating my November birthday every single day this month. It might just be Sprocket photos, not words, that I print out and stick on that page.

Thank you for responding. I have a joy ledger in beta mode. Would you try it out and then get back to me with your experience. It's just for one week. ( no charge) https://monirose.gumroad.com/l/joyledger
