I’ve seen it in the classical music world—especially producing Pianist—where brilliance is filtered through politics, pedigree, and permission slips. The same nonsense shows up in art, publishing, and business.
But here’s what I know now: the soul doesn’t wait for clearance. When your creative impulse rises, it’s a direct message from source—not an invitation for committee approval. The gatekeepers aren’t protecting art. They’re protecting ego, power, and control.
