VARNISH + A Cranky Moment

A recording from Monica Hebert's live video

Tonight’s live is low energy on purpose.

I accidentally sent my “can of varnish” post earlier than planned, then got weirdly cranky about it like the internet was going to call the cops. It’s not the end of the world, but it was a real moment of nervous system wobble.

So I got on here scratchy-throated and unpolished to show what it looks like to not varnish your life. I talk about my mother’s version of varnish , “y’all just love each other” , and why I won’t use shine as a substitute for truth.

Then I do the simplest reset I know: breathing, a glass of water, and choosing, again, to trust my connection to my soul. Because I’ve lived this long enough to know what happens when I do.

If you want the full story, the post about the varnish metaphor is live now.

I’m going to do my breathing meditation, drink my water, and put my head down on my feather pillow.
